This is the biggest meet of the year, and athletes who run on this stage will have earned it. We depart on Friday morning and return on Saturday evening after the meet is completed.
Parents: Make your hotel plans early.
A meet for varsity athletes who qualified for it at the SPSL Championships. This is a qualifying meet for the State Championships in Pasco on November 4. The top 49 runners and the top 7 teams qualify for the state meet.
Come out to Ft. Steilacoom Park and cheer on the Tahoma Bears as they compete for the NPSL championship. This is an optional self-transport event.

The SPSL Championships has varsity and junior varsity races. This is a huge meet and a chance for the Jags to earn a league championship trophy.
This is a qualifying meet for varsity athletes. The top 56 runners and the top 8 teams advance to the district championships at Chambers Bay on October 28.
Here’s another chance to test your improvement on a race course run three weeks prior. This is a fast meet with strong competition.
The Jags are seeking to be return team champions at this meet.
This is our first major meet of the season, and it’s the same course as the district meet where varsity athletes qualify for state.
Yes, it’s also Homecoming. Fortunately, most of the races are in the morning. The bus will depart ERHS at 7 AM. Athletes are permitted to depart the meet after 1 PM if they have parent transportation. and have completed their cool down.
The Jags race at Marymount again in a 2 miles race. This is a great opportunity to see progress from the Jamboree.
A bus will transport athletes to and from ER.

Our first 5k race of the year. This is a small invitational meet that is also very competitive.
This is a self-transportation meet. No bus services will be provided.
A college cross country meet will follow the high school meet. It is a good time to observe a college race for those who are interested in competing at the next level.
Bus transportation from Emerald Ridge (and return) will be available for athletes.
Bus departure from Emerald Ridge High School at 7:00 AM.
Bus will return to Emerald Ridge approximately 2:30 PM.
Athletes will need to bring water bottles and bag lunch. Parent group will provide snacks and sport drinks.
There will be multiple races for athletes. Race distance is 2 miles.

A bus will transport athletes who do not run the full distance.

We will hold practice on this day at Fleet Feet Sports in Bonney Lake where you can meet ERXC legend Chris Schroll. Pizza will be provided to the Jags for this event.
Parents: Come out and meet the coaches of the Emerald Ridge Cross Country Team. We will cover a thorough introduction to the 2023 cross country season.
ERXC Booster Club General Meeting will follow the coaches meeting.
Following the meeting, we will cheer on the athletes as they run the 2023 ERXC 3200m Time Trial

Parents: Come out and meet the coaches of the Emerald Ridge Cross Country Team. Coaches and athletes will meet at Portable 4 at 7 PM. After introductions, the athletes will join some of the coaches on a warm up and preparation for the time trial. Parents will stay with Coach Bates for a one-hour informational session about the team and our upcoming season.
Athletes will run two different time trials. Returning athletes will run a 3200m race. New athletes will run a 2000m race. Races will be held separately on our track.
Attention ERXC Alumni: You are invited to join us for the 3200m time trial. This year we will be honoring the ten year reunion of the Class of 2013. Be ready and warmed up at 8 PM to run with the current Jags. Can you keep up with them? We’ll see.
